Cheerless Chamundeswari to Cheerful Chamundeshwari
Have you ever had ‘cooking accidents’ or ‘kitchen accidents’ where you’re cooking and accidentally touch a hot pan or have a drop of oil splatter on your arm? It hurts, doesn’t it? You immediately apply ghee or something cold so as to heal the burn.
Something similar happened to Chamundeshwari but on a much larger scale. Cooking accidents went to the next level and before she knew it, the fire spread all over her from the saree end.
Chamundeshwari is a family woman with (kids?) She lives with her family in a town in the Kurnool district.
For almost 10 years since the horrific incident, Chamundeshwari lived with the pain and lost hope. Only after a decade, did she come to know that burns can be treated surgically. Having found out about it, she approached a corporate hospital only to come back disappointed about the surgery and recovery costs.
She came to us with no hope. We counseled her, walked her through the process, and assured her that she wouldn’t have to pay a single rupee. She gained back some hope and got ready for treatment.
The first surgery was done on her arm. The second surgery gave her relief from elbow contracture and released her neck, freeing movement and mobility.
Chamundeshwari is now able to perform her daily activities on her own, without any help. Her mobility and flexibility have majorly improved. She finally feels free and like herself, after what was a long and hard decade.
